Colorado Buffaloes Odds: National Championship, Playoffs, and More
Here's a quick overlook of where the Buffs' odds stand as we inch closer to the start of their season. All of the odds below have been pulled from bet365 Colorado.
🏆 Colorado to Win National Championship | +20000 |
⭐ Colorado to Make the Playoffs | +1200 |
🥇 Colorado to Win the Big 12 | +2500 |
🏈 Win Total | 5.5 Games |
🏈 Shedeur Sanders to Win Heisman | +2500 |
🏈 Travis Hunter to Win Heisman | +2500 |
✅ Odds Last Verified | September 13, 2024 |
I always suggest checking multiple Colorado betting apps prior to placing any wager, but especially futures markets like the ones above. Futures odds tend to vary much more widely between betting sites, so it's worth digging around to find the best price.
Colorado Odds to Win the National Championship
Although the buzz and hype surrounding CU football is real, sportsbooks aren't buying in as far as winning a natty is concerned. Outside of Caesars Sportsbook Colorado, the majority of betting sites have the Buffs well outside of the group of teams most would consider legitimate contenders. Below, I've listed Colorado's odds to win the National Championship across several of the most popular sportsbook apps.
Caesars | +9000 |
BetMGM | +15000 |
bet365 | +20000 |
DraftKings | +25000 |
Fanatics | +25000 |
FanDuel | +30000 |
BetMGM finds itself between Caesars and the rest of the market due to the volume of bets they've seen on Colorado. This tweet from John Ewing, BetMGM's data and PR maven, shows just how that has happened:
Colorado Buffaloes Odds to Make Playoffs
The 2024-2025 season will be the first year of the expanded College Football Playoffs, bringing 12 teams into the fold rather than just four. Even with the expanded field, Colorado football finds itself on the outside looking in.
DraftKings | +1200 |
bet365 | +1200 |
Caesars | +1500 |
BetMGM | +2500 |
FanDuel | +2500 |
Taking the shortest (+1200) and longest odds (+2500), this means the Buffs have between a 3.9% and 7.7% chance of making the playoffs this season via implied probability. Despite the Buffs Week 1 victory, their playoff odds shortened on just two of the above betting sites (DraftKings and bet365). No matter how you slice it, Colorado's playoff chances have them outside of legitimate contender range. Just as a reference, Utah has the shortest playoff odds among Big 12 teams, and they come in at +180 (35.7% chance) according to DraftKings Colorado.
Colorado Football Odds to Win Big 12
In its first year in the Big 12, odds makers currently aren't viewing Colorado as a threat to take down the conference. Although their odds vary across different betting operators, the Buffs generally have the sixth-longest odds to win the Big 12.
Caesars | +1500 |
BetMGM | +2500 |
bet365 | +2500 |
FanDuel | +2700 |
Fanatics | +2800 |
DraftKings | +3000 |
Colorado Football Heisman Contenders
The Buffs have two players with Heisman Trophy odds on the majority of legal betting sites: quarterback Shedeur Sanders and the multi-faceted Travis Hunter. Shedeur Sanders' Heisman odds are slightly shorter compared to Hunter, but both could climb odds boards early if they jump out to hot starts, just as they did last year.
Travis Hunters' Heisman odds will surely depend on how much he plays on both sides of the ball this year as well as how Colorado does in general. Right or wrong, we just don't see players take home the Heisman on underperforming teams.
CU Football Schedule
Here is the full 12-game regular season schedule for CU football this year. The lines you see for future games were available prior to the season starting, but those odds have since been pulled. With the season underway, you will be able to bet on Colorado each and every week they're in action.

With Colorado's future odds looking bleak, the weekly lines should be more appealing for college football betting.
Colorado vs Nebraska Game Odds
After a shaky first half, the Buffaloes rallied back to get a win over NDSU. Colorado will now head to Nebraska to rekindle one of the top rivalry games in college football. You can use the widget below to find the latest odds for the moneyline, spread, and over/under.
Don't forget to look for the best Colorado sportsbook bonuses before placing any wager on the Buffs. Although the promos you see below are reserved for new users, any operator worth its weight will have ongoing offers available for existing customers throughout the football season.
