Americans love few things more than a good podcast, it seems, with Colorado residents having a clear preference when it comes to their go-to audio option.

Using data from ThePodcasting.org and Google Trends, BetColorado.com took a break from coverage of Colorado sports betting and found the most popular podcast in the Centennial State. Leveraging ThePodcast.org’s ‘Most Popular Podcasts in the U.S.’ list, we then used Google Trends to measure the search volume in the state over the past 12 months.

From there, it quickly becomes clear The Joe Rogan Experience is Colorado’s No. 1 podcast, with more than 50% of search volume picking the talk show over a host of other well-known options.

Crime Podcast Ranks Second

Colorado’s No. 1 choice for podcasts is Spotify’s The Joe Rogan Experience, which has run continuously since 2009 and has racked up more than 2,000 episodes since it first aired in December 2009.

Overall, 53% of search volume went towards the show, as compared to the state’s No. 2 option, Crime Junkie, which gathered 21% of all search volume in the Rocky Mountain State. According to the latest survey conducted by Edison Research, Colorado’s top 5 follows a national pattern, with Rogan’s podcast being the top choice among American listeners, followed by Crime Junkies, The Daily, This American Life and Call Her Daddy. If CO sports betting apps kept track of such things, Rogan's podcast would be a significant favorite.

The state’s podcast choices also mirror the national charts provided by Spotify, which list The Joe Rogan Experience as No. 1 podcast, followed by New Heights With Jason and Travis Kelce, Hot Mess With Alix Earle and Strike Force Five.
