The Broncos lead the rivalry all-time at a margin of 73-57-1, and hold leads over Los Angeles in the NFL regular season and NFL postseason at 1-0. The Chargers only led the AFL regular season rivalry in the 1960s at a 15-5 margin.
The rivalry had been in favor of the Broncos at 5-3 in the early 2020s, including several low-scoring affairs in the 2023-24 season. But things took a turn in the 2024-25 season when the Chargers swept the Broncos.
