Fact Checked by Michael Peters

It’s been seven seasons since the Denver Broncos last reached the NFL playoffs, with six consecutive losing campaigns along the Front Range.

Despite the franchise’s lack of year-end success of late, the Broncos are among the league’s best teams in September, going 25-17 (.595) since 2010.

That first month success might come as a surprise to those participating in CO sports betting, given the Broncos’ 106-104 (.505) winning percentage overall during that timeframe.

Broncos Among NFL’s Best In September

Overall, the Broncos’ .605 winning percentage in September ranks in a tie with Seattle for sixth overall in the league, ahead of Buffalo (.568), the L.A. Rams (.558) and Philadelphia (.557).

As for the season ahead, the Broncos are slated to face Las Vegas and Washington at home (Sept. 10 and Sept. 17), before heading to Miami on Sept. 24.

Those three teams posted a combined record of 23-27-1, likely giving first-year Broncos coach Sean Payton a shot at further bolstering Denver’s winning percentage in September.

Oddsmakers at Caesars Colorado have the Broncos’ win total over/under at 8.5, as the Broncos look to return to the postseason for the first time since winning it all in 2015.
