Broncos Among NFL’s Worst Teams in October Since 2018

Broncos Among NFL’s Worst Teams in October Since 2018
Fact Checked by Michael Peters

Year One of the Sean Payton era in Denver has gotten off to a rocky start, with Denver stumbling to an 0-2 start after a one-point loss to Las Vegas and a two-point defeat to Washington.

Denver has a Week 3 showdown in South Florida against 2-0 Miami on Sunday. For those looking to wager on the game, oddsmakers at BetMGM Colorado have Denver at +230 on the moneyline and listed as a 6.5-point underdog.

If Denver falls to 0-3, there isn’t much hope for an October turnaround based on its recent performance in the month. BetColorado.com utilized StatMuse.com to find the records of every NFL team in October since 2018 to aid in your visits to Colorado sportsbooks.

Broncos' October Record Isn't Pretty

Of the NFL’s 32 franchises, the Broncos have posted the seventh-worst record in October, alongside the New York Giants and Cleveland. Overall, the Broncos have gone 7-14 (.333) during October games since 2018 — finishing just ahead of Chicago (6-14/.300), Detroit (5-13, .278), the Dolphins (5-14, .263) and Jacksonville (3-17, .150).

Unfortunately for the Broncos, only the Bears have worse Super Bowl odds on CO betting apps. But Denver does get to open October this year at Chicago, so at least one team will improve on its performance in the month.

The best NFL franchises in October since 2018 have been New Orleans (15-4, .789), Minnesota (14-5, .737) and Baltimore (13-6, .684).
