The deal comes as Bet365 is in the midst of the operator’s expansion in the U.S., with licenses in Colorado, New Jersey, Ohio and Virginia.

In a team press release, Walker Monfort, who serves as the Rockies’ vice president of corporate sponsorships, called the Bet365 deal one that’ll help both sides grow their audience in the state.

“All of us at the Rockies are excited to partner up with an outstanding player within the sports betting industry,” Monfort said in the press release. “As Bet365 continues to evolve within our great state, we are thrilled to be a part of their growth story.”

The Rockies’ latest sports betting partner joins the team’s existing pacts with national sports betting brands Betfred Colorado, DraftKings Sportsbook Colorado and WynnBET Colorado.

It’s also the latest partnership for Denver’s professional sports teams, joining the Avalanche’s deals with DraftKings Sportsbook Colorado and PointsBet Colorado, the Colorado Rapids’ pact with Tipico Sportsbook, and the Denver Broncos’ deals with Betfred Colorado, BetMGM Sportsbook Colorado and FanDuel Sportsbook Colorado.

Major League Lacrosse franchise the Colorado Mammoth have a sports betting partnership with PointsBet Colorado, capping off the state’s wagering partnerships.

As for the Rockies Colorado sports betting apps deal with Bet365, the pact will run for three years beginning with the team’s Thursday home opener at Coors Field.

Rockies Slight Favorite To Win Home Opener

The British operator has the home team as a slight favorite to win its first game in Denver under the Bet365 partnership, with Colorado sitting at -155 and -1.5 against the Nationals on Thursday afternoon.

The game, which starts at 4:10 p.m. Mountain time, pits longtime Rockies southpaw Kyle Freeland against Josiah Gray of Washington.

For those looking to place an over/under wager, Bet365 Colorado has the total at 11.0, with -115 odds on the over and -105 on the under.

One way or another, Thursday represents the first game of a new era for the Rockies and their fans, with a worldwide betting brand in the team’s corner.
