NFL Draft Anticipation: Denver Broncos Fans Eyes On The Prize
Fact Checked by Nate Hamilton

It’s been eight years since the Denver Broncos playoff chances were realized when Peyton Manning led the franchise to a Super Bowl championship over the Carolina Panthers to send the Hall of Famer out on a high note.

In the interim period, Denver’s come close to getting back to the playoffs once, going 9-7 in 2016 before skidding their way through seven consecutive losing seasons, capped off by last year’s 8-9 clunker in Year One of the Sean Payton era.

Hope lies in this month’s NFL Draft, however, as Payton and the Broncos have eight selections across the seven-round made-for-TV spectacle, highlighted by the No. 12 pick in the first round.
